Textbox 'enter' tabs to next cell

Hi

I have an issue in Excel 2007 where a colleague is reporting that when he tries to input text into a textbox and presses return/enter it doesnt go to the next line, instead it tabs to the next cell, (backwards)

We have checked the options tab on both machines and they both are set at 'down' for actions on pressing enter, so we dont think this is the issue.

Have you checked it's not the keyboard?

I think Nick has it - Check the Shift key on the keyboard isn't stuck.

Im sorry but i dont think its that.

the textbox works fine in excel 2003, but in 2007 the textbox cannot be typed into.

the sheet is protected and the texbox was locked, but i have tried to unlock both the texbox and the textbox text but when i protect the sheet again, it makes no difference.

Can you post the workbook?
