Opening two workbooks from a "project file"

    I have a workbook that is very close to its limit of different formats ( confirmed that this cannot be increased above 4000) therefore, is it possible to save in Excel 2003 two workbooks that are linked but saved as a project.

    Opening the "project file" would simultaneously open both wookbooks and retain the links to each other.

    Nothing built-in, but it woiuld be a simple matter to check in the workbook open event if the other was open or not, and open it if not.
